At Atenai London, we believe luxury and responsibility should go hand in hand.
From the very beginning, our mission has been simple yet ambitious: to create products that not only delight the senses but also contribute positively to the planet and to the people who inhabit it.
We live in a time when the choices we make as businesses and as consumers carry profound consequences for the environment. Every purchase, every ingredient, every piece of packaging has an impact.
At Atenai London, we see this as both a challenge and an opportunity: the challenge to rethink traditional industry practices that are harmful or wasteful, and the opportunity to set a new standard of sustainable luxury that aligns indulgence with responsibility.
Our promise is clear: we never test on animals, we never compromise on ethics, and we never lose sight of sustainability. From sourcing ingredients responsibly to designing packaging that reduces waste, every decision is made with the future in mind.
Obviously, we do not get everything right, and certain aspects at our level are not possible, if we are to remain competitive but we certainly thrive to do so.
Responsible Fragrance and Packaging
Fragrance is at the heart of Atenai London, but we believe true luxury should never come at the planet’s expense. Our packaging and fragrance development processes reflect this philosophy.
•Bottles with purpose: Our bottles are made from PCR Plastic which not only reduces the use of virgin plastic but also lowers carbon emissions during production. Every bottle we produce represents a small step toward a more circular economy.
•Thoughtful pumps and closures: Unlike many beauty products, our pumps and closures are recyclable, ensuring nothing is left behind to pollute the environment.
•Minimalist design, maximum impact: We intentionally design packaging with understated elegance. By using minimal ink and dyes, we reduce the chemical load associated with traditional packaging, while still creating something beautiful enough to stand proudly on your shelf.
•Recyclable retail boxes: Our boxes are made with 350 GSM matte-finish cardstock that is not only premium in feel but also 100% fully recyclable.
•Uniformed packaging manufacturer: We try to use one or two manufacturers to provide all our packaging materials (such as bottles, caps, among others) and retail boxes. That will provide us with a more sustainable logistic framework that enable us even on international manufacturers to offset as much carbon emissions as possible.
This isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about designing products that respect both people and the planet.

What is PCR Plastic
PCR plastic stands for Post-Consumer Recycled plastic, a material made from consumer waste that has been collected, cleaned, processed, and remanufactured into new products or packaging. Its benefits include diverting waste from landfills, reducing the reliance on virgin fossil fuels, and lowering the carbon footprint compared to virgin plastics.
However, challenges with PCR plastic include potential colour variations and the need for careful quality control to ensure consistent performance in manufacturing processes.
How PCR Plastic is Made
•Collection: Discarded plastic products are collected from consumers and local recycling programs.
•Sorting and Cleaning: The collected waste is sorted, cleaned, and any contaminants are removed.
•Processing: The clean plastic is then ground into small pellets or regrained.
•Manufacturing: These processed resins are used to create new items, such as packaging or other plastic goods.
Benefits of PCR Plastic
•Waste Reduction: It helps reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and the environment.
•Reduced Resource Consumption: Using PCR plastic decreases the demand for virgin plastic, which is derived from fossil fuels.
•Lower Carbon Footprint: This reduction in virgin plastic usage helps lower the material's carbon emissions and its overall environmental impact.
•Supports Circular Economy: PCR plastic supports the principles of a circular economy by giving materials a second life.
Challenges of PCR Plastic
•Quality Consistency: The purity and consistency of the waste stream can vary, posing challenges for maintaining consistent quality and performance.
•Colour Limitations: Achieving consistent, light, or transparent colours can be difficult with higher percentages of PCR plastic.
•Cost: The initial cost of PCR materials can be higher than virgin plastics, though this is often balanced by long-term environmental benefits.
Excellence in Craftsmanship
Sustainability should never mean compromising on quality. At Atenai London, craftsmanship is sacred. We partner with one of the world’s most respected perfumery companies in the UK, blending artistry with responsibility to create scents that are as sustainable as they are sophisticated.
Each fragrance is a carefully balanced composition of delicate florals, fresh fruits, and deep, grounding base notes. We believe perfume is more than a scent, it’s an experience, an emotion, a memory in the making.
By working only with the highest quality ingredients and artisans, we ensure that every bottle tells a story of excellence.
Luxury, after all, is not about excess. It’s about attention to detail, respect for tradition, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way.
Collaboration with Trusted Suppliers
Behind every great fragrance is a trusted network of suppliers. At Atenai London, we believe transparency and accountability are essential in building a sustainable supply chain.
We collaborate closely with English and International suppliers, to ensure every raw material is sourced ethically and responsibly. These relationships are more than business transactions—they are partnerships built on trust, shared values, and a mutual commitment to sustainability.
This approach allows us to maintain rigorous control over quality, traceability, and ethical practices. It also enables us to support suppliers who are equally committed to sustainability, helping to nurture a more responsible global fragrance industry.
Our Formulation Philosophy
Our guiding principle in formulation is “simple but high quality.” While some brands chase complexity, we believe the best products are those that deliver results without compromise.
Not all our ingredients are 100% naturally derived—and intentionally so. Natural does not always mean sustainable, safe, or effective. Instead, we carefully select each ingredient based on three key criteria:
•Safety – Every ingredient must meet strict safety standards, ensuring it is gentle on both your body and the planet.
•Efficacy – Our products must perform exceptionally, delivering the luxurious experience our customers expect.
•Sustainability – We prioritize ingredients with minimal environmental impact, avoiding those that contribute to deforestation, pollution, or habitat destruction.
By blending nature and science, we strike the perfect balance between performance, ethics, and sustainability.
Free From Harmful Ingredients
What you won’t find in Atenai London products is just as important as what you will find. Our formulations are free from harmful ingredients commonly used in the beauty and fragrance industries:
•No parabens
•No sulfates
•No phthalates
•No silicones
•No formaldehyde
•No palm oil
•No animal-derived ingredients
Instead, our products are cruelty-free, vegan, and UK-made. We want every purchase from Atenai London to be more than a treat for yourself, it should also be a responsible, meaningful choice that aligns with your values.
Transparency as a Standard
We know consumers today are more informed than ever, and rightly so. At Atenai London, we embrace transparency as a way of building trust. From ingredient lists to packaging details, we share openly what goes into our products and why.
Our customers deserve to know:
•Where our ingredients come from
•How our products are made
•What impact they have on the environment
We reject greenwashing and vague sustainability claims. Instead, we provide clear, evidence-based information to help you make informed choices.
Luxury That Cares
Atenai London is proof that luxury and sustainability can coexist. Every product we create embodies our belief that true luxury is about more than indulgence, it’s about responsibility, craftsmanship, and care.
When you choose Atenai London, you’re not only investing in a fragrance or skincare product; you’re supporting:
•Cruelty-free practices that respect animal welfare
•Sustainable production methods that protect the planet
•Ethical supply chains that empower communities
•Responsible formulations that prioritize your health and wellbeing
Our Sustainability Promise
To ensure our impact remains positive, we continue to set ambitious goals:
•Reducing emissions year by year through more efficient manufacturing and logistics.
•Increasing the use of recycled materials in packaging until we achieve near-zero virgin plastic.
•Investing in innovation that enables more sustainable fragrance creation.
We know sustainability is a journey, not a destination. And we are committed to continuous improvement, always asking how we can do better.
Atenai London stands for:
Every product we create is a reflection of our belief that luxury should enrich the world, not exploit it. With every bottle, every box, and every scent, we are striving to leave a legacy of beauty, responsibility, and care.
At Atenai London, sustainability isn’t just part of what we do, it is who we are.
